Pitt Pres Choir in concert
The Presbyterian Church Choir will join Pittsburg High School Encore choir in the PHS Spring Choir Concert, directed by Susan Laushman. The concert will be held May 12th, at 7:30pm in McCray Recital Hall on the campus of PSU. The concert will feature Pittsburg High School Choirs, State soloists and Senior recognition. The concert will conclude with the combined choirs of PHS Encore and Pitt Pres Choir singing literature that will be performed May 24 at The Kennedy Center Concert Hall under the direction of Dr. John Leavitt. Members of the Presbyterian Church choir and PHS Encore will be in Washington D.C. May 21-25. The concert is free and open to the public.
College Ministry

Personal Finance Study Series
 Crown Financial Ministries is coming to Pitt Pres! On Saturday, March 29 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. we will kick-off a new study series called Discovering God's Way of Handling Money.
The study will continue during Wednesday night Connection April 2 - May 21 at 6:30 p.m.
In the eight-week series, you will learn the profound impact that managing money has on your relationships with God. Your faithfulness will be rewarded as you discover and apply God's practical and life-changing financial principles.
There are more than 2,350 verses that address everything you need to know about handling money. The Bible is, indeed, a blueprint for managing your finances. Not only is Discovering God's Way of Handling Money practical, but in it you will learn the profound impact managing your money has on your relationship with God.

- How do you evaluate financial counsel from others?
- Is honesty always the best policy?
- How can I know when to give to others?
- How are money and being a godly employee related to each other?

Easter Sunday
8:00 a.m. - Sonrise Service
9:00 a.m. - Easter Breakfast
9:15 a.m. - Children's Easter Egg Activity
10:00 a.m. - Worship Service
SONRISE: The Sonrise Service will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the Hagman Chapel. The Pitt Pres Youth will lead the worship.
BREAKFAST: Following the Sonrise Service, breakfast will be served from 9:00 - 9:40 a.m. in the Leffler Life Center. Breakfast is hosted by the Fellowship Committee. Please join us for breakfast!
CHILDREN'S EASTER EGG ACTIVITY: In the Leffler Life Center at 9:15 a.m. "The Easter Gift That's Too Good to Keep" activity will begin with a story telling of Jesus' resurrection followed by an activity of creating an Easter basket and eggs containing a "hug" and a special note about the good news of Easter. Then the children will take their baskets and give away their eggs during the sharing of peace at the 10:00 a.m. service. All children are invited!
WORSHIP: Easter Worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor K.O. will bring the message "From Shock to Joy" from Matthew 28:1-10. The Lay Leader will be Molly Murphy. The Chancel Choir will sing "Christ the Lord is Risen Today for the Choral Anthem. The Offertory will be "Songs of Easter" with Virginia Darling and Susan Laushman, piano duet. The Closing Anthem will be "River in Judea" by the Chancel Choir.
A fully staffed nursery is available for infants and toddlers.

International Gathering - Feb. 15
The next International Gathering will be Friday, Feb. 15 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Campus Ministry Center at 201 E. Williams. You can join PSU international students for a light meal, conversation, and a presentation by a group of students about their country. This is a fun and easy way to share Christ's love with students from all around the world. For more information, call Chuck and Camille Olcese, 231-6149.
Lenten Journey - Feb. 13-Mar.12
Children's ministry is very excited to be inviting the entire congregation for a special series of Connection nights!
Join us for our upcoming Lenten Journey, "Who is this Jesus", beginning February 13th. For five weeks during Connection we will have opportunity to step back into Jesus' day and experience what different people were hearing and thinking about Jesus and how he was identifying himself. Join one of the "twelve tribes of Israel", then enter the village of Bethany. Listen as the town's storyteller relates the events unfolding around her. Visit the shops. Meet a humble shepherd. Live the experience as we explore the "I am" statements of Jesus.
This unique journey will allow us to learn and grow in our faith while helping us to build relationships in our church community. So I hope that you will make time, even invite a friend, and come February 13th at 5:45 p.m. ready to embark on a Lenten Journey. See you there!
Church Leadership Training & Session Retreat - Jan. 26
Leadership Training for Elders and Deacons will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Olcese home. The Session Retreat will begin at 1:30 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be Dutch treat.
